Aoyama Medical Clinic - Physiotherapy Knowledge Exchange

As part of my business trip to Japan this November, I was kindly invited to Aoyama Medical Clinic in Saitama Prefecture, Japan for a physiotherapy knowledge exchange session with the PTs providing post operative hip and knee care for clients in the community.

It was a pleasure to exchange ideas, physiotherapy practices, and the post surgical care and rehabilitation process with the physiotherapists working there. Thank you to Mr. Shohei Okuma (PT) for the invitation, and to Mr. Yosuke Yamaha (PT, CSCS) for translation support during our session. It continues to be eye opening to learn about Japanese PT practice and hear how patients in Japan see physiotherapists as part of their road to recovery. It’s fantastic to see a state of the art clinic offering the newest medical technology for their pre-operative, post operative, and outpatient patients in an underserviced area of Japan.

I look forward to additional collaborative opportunities with Aoyama Medical Clinic into the future.
