Recruited by Waseda University - PhD in Sports Medicine
We’ve been recruited by the #1 sports science university in Japan to conduct trailblazing research into the athletic performance of professional sumo wrestlers.
With the full support of Waseda University, we’re starting our PhD in Sports Medicine to bring the very best in athletic performance, physiotherapy, and sports medicine research to some of the most unique athletes in the world - professional sumo wrestlers!
The first phase of our research will focus on sleep dysfunction and professional sumo athletic performance implications under the supervision of a medical doctor and internationally published sleep researcher at the Waseda Graduate School of Sport Sciences. Read the study proposal and donate to the cause here.
Future phases of our work are still a secret, but we are committed to trailblazing a path forward to care for, study, and enhance the health and athletic performance of these culturally important, extremely special professional athletes.
