At the end of class, children will be asked to wait in the lobby until parents enter the building for pickup and to receive their child.
Youth students may exit the building independently after visual confirmation of guardian at their parents discretion
Outdoor Class Protocol
When weather is nice, we will sometimes have class outdoors. Usually this is 3-5 classes per year.
What this means:
Nothing changes about location, schedule, uniform, drop off or pickup process. Class will be on the west side area of the community center.
Parents please bring your child to the west parking lot and you will see me and/or the dojo setup.
We may have another class outdoors later this summer as well - again weather permitting! Check the dojo schedule for more details
Safety:
While the training area we usually use has soft playground style compound rubber, it is best for your child to be in athletic sneakers for the class for safety.
The dojo mats will be out for students to use during stretching and warmup, so grass stains and slips, trips, falls will be minimized!
Please bring mouth guard as always
If weather is poor or questionable on the day of, please come inside the dojo and look for me first - class WILL be on either way, so if you don't see me outside, assume class has been moved indoors.
Sensei’s Travel Schedule Protocol
During times I am traveling for work, the dojo will usually remain open. Those of you who were training with me during my prior businesses trips, the dojo and class process will be identical to how things ran at that time.
-
Please see the dojo schedule for the year. This calendar is continuously updated as my business travel schedule evolves - so check back frequently.
-
classes will remain in person for the duration of my trip. I will be teaching all classes virtually during this time per the dojo schedule.
My black belts and senior assistants will be there for dojo setup, and in case of any issues.
Dojo arrival, pickup and departure process are identical to usual weekly process.
Students are welcome and expected to be at the dojo, but if you'd like, you may choose to train at your home dojo per your family's preference.
classes will continue to be uploaded to the class archive for your independent study and training.
Virtual class links are posted here

I am always available via email, although my response time may be delayed as a function of my travel and timezone changes. I do my best to respond to emails within 48h during business days.
Families who would prefer to speak to me face to face can ask one of my black belts after class to speak with me. I am happy to accommodate this and speak to you through the class stream between classes.
